Year 3 Mosque Visit

Year 3 were delighted to visit the Mosque as part of our RW topic this term. They were able to explore the Mosque and understand how a Muslim follows the religion after discussions led by the members of the community. Children learnt about the importance of prayer for Muslims, and shown how they prepare for it mentally and physically. The children enjoyed learning how to write their names in Arabic, looking at various verses from The Quran, dressing up in traditional clothing and tasting healthy snacks recommended by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). It was a really lovely day and the children were able to enrich their understanding of the Muslim faith.
