Year 3's trip to Windsor Castle

Year 3 had an amazing time on their trip to Windsor Castle, made even more special by the sunny weather. The highlight of the day was taking part in an engaging workshop called All About Castles, where the children learned about the different weapons used in defence and attack during medieval times. They were fascinated as they explored the grand State Apartments, seeing real-life belongings of past kings and queens, as well as portraits and artefacts that brought history to life. The visit to St George’s Chapel left everyone in awe, especially with its intricate architectural details and stunning stained glass windows. Pupils also enjoyed tracing the timeline of British monarchs, going all the way back to William the Conqueror. It was a truly memorable day filled with learning and wonder.
