Safeguarding Update from Slough Borough Council

We have been asked to update you with  the following message from Slough Borough Council.  

 

We have had two separate incidents across Slough where children have been approached by a stranger after school.

 

The incidents took place in separate schools (one primary school and the other at a secondary school)  which included a 9 year old girl on 2^nd December and a 11 year old girl on the 12^th December.

Both incidents have been reported to the police.  We do not want to cause alarm and wish to reassure the public that these types of incidents are rare and it isn’t clear if the two incidents are related.

 

We do ask that in the lead up to the Christmas break that children are asked to be vigilant as they leave school and where possible leave with friends or family just as a preventative measure.
