SPORTS FIXTURE ROUND UP - SEPTEMBER TO JANUARY

This year Penn Wood will have even more opportunities to participate in tournaments than ever before. At the start of the Autumn term,  pupils from year 3/4 participated in a football tournament, which was held again at Penn Wood school. Pupils showed impressive team work, just missing out on the semi finals by goal difference! Pupils in year 3 also had the opportunity to attend the Change 4 Life tournament, coming in the top 3 in that event. 

 

The boys 5/6 football league has also got off to a great start with the boys not losing any of their five matches and staying top of the league! A wonderful achievement. Let's hope they can keep their unbeaten run and win the league this year!

 

The 3/4 boys have also started their league well with a win against Godolphin. The 3/4 girls also began their league with a hard match against Lynch Hill. This is the first time the girls have been in the league and they are looking forward to playing more matches as the year progresses. The 5/6 girls football team started their league competition against Claycots with a huge 3-0 win! Congratulations to all our teams!

 

This year, we have also taken part in the Netball league for the first time. Penn Wood started well with a win against St Ethelbert's. Despite a recent loss against Western House, the team are determined to do better in their next game.
