YEAR 5 - ANGLO SAXON DAY

This term, Year 5 took part in an Anglo-Saxon day. During the day, the children were able to touch and observe many varied and realistic artefacts from the time.  The children used their questioning, observation and detective skills to understand the uses for a range of items. They also learnt about the food and daily lives of the Anglo-Saxons and the struggles for survival of the people. 
Altogether, the day provided an inspiring insight into the lives of the Anglo-Saxons and effectively complemented the children’s History studies.
