Year 5's Anglo-Saxon visit
Year 5 had a fantastic day finding out more about the lives of Anglo-Saxons. The children had the opportunity to explore a range of artefacts, including: armour, helmets and tools. They even made their own clay pottery and took part in drama activities where they acted in role as 'warrior-farmers'.
Some children commented:
'It was a really interesting day learning new facts- I particularly enjoyed the part where we made the clay pots.'
'It felt strange holding a sword- I felt like I was a warrior-farmer about to go into battle!'
