Singing club performing at The Hexagon, Reading

On 23rd June, Singing club performed a number of songs from the movies at a special Slough Music service concert at The Hexagon, Reading. Singing alongside pupils from twenty-two other primary and secondary schools, pupils from Penn Wood had the opportunity to showcase their hard work to a packed auditorium. The pupils loved it. A year 3 child remarked, "it was like a dream come true."

It was also a wonderful opportunity for the young performers to sing accompanied by a full orchestra and a live band.
Kindness Day

A fantastic Kindness Day was had by all at Penn Wood today. All of our children showed kindness, worked together and made our playground even more exciting. What a fabulous day. Thank you so much for all the donations.

We worked as a whole school community to achieve excellence by:

- being kind to each other

- respecting each other and equipment

- washing tyres

- tidying

- making gravel small work areas

- playing with children from other year groups

- helping each other

- making a tyre track

- PLAYING and having fun
